A Love for Color, Texture & Expression
Born and raised in New York, Laura Petta has spent her life immersed in creativity and artistic expression. She began her professional career as a ballerina at just 17 years old, performing across the United States as well as internationally in London, England and Caracas, Venezuela.
After retiring from dance, Laura returned to school to study graphic design and went on to work professionally in the design industry for over 22 years, including 18 years with Hallmark in Kansas City. Her background in both movement and design continues to influence the rhythm, color, balance, and emotion found throughout her artwork today.
Now fully devoted to her passion for watercolor painting, Laura creates one-of-a-kind original pieces that range from romantic and expressive to geometric and imaginative. Her work is inspired by color, texture, movement, and the emotional connection art can bring into a space.
From intimate originals perfect for gallery walls and shelves to larger statement pieces, each painting is uniquely created by hand — no reproductions, no duplicates, and no two pieces ever the same.
